Nosework is a detection sport developed for pet dogs using the same techniques our police and military use for detection dogs looking for illegal substances, cadavers, or explosives. In Nosework however, our dogs are looking for 3 specific essential oil odors: Birch, Anise, and Clove. The dog who finds the source of the odor (and "indicates" to the handler) fastest and most precisely wins. This fast growing sport is so popular because it's fun, and any dog can do it - big or small, young or old. Nosework 1 will cover motivational searching techniques, focused response, search patterns and indication on Birch. This course runs for 6 weeks and the cost is $160.
