Teaching Rear End Awareness

  1. Stand in front of the touch pad, with your dog facing you on the touch pad.

  2. Using a lure in the center line of your body, take a small step to the left or right (stay close to the dog) and watch their rear end.

  3. IF the dog steps side ways (with their rear) to reorient their front end to face you, mark and reward.

  4. Gradually take larger steps, as your dog is successful, to teach a stronger pivot.
